Free Music Sharing Programs?

I've had a few computers before, but the one I have now used to have Ares, and FrostWire. I don't know what happened to them, but now i have nothing to download music from! :(
How do I get these programs back, since I dont know how they were on this computer in the first place (it used to belong to my brothers).
And,are there any other really good free music sharing whatever programs that I can get?
If this info is useful at all, the computer is an HP vp17..?
And I have Windows…..idk if its xp or w.e…..but…..
